Walk to Water 2011

Walk to Water 2011,  3pm -5pm, 10 Septemberat St Philips Cottesloe.

As a result of Walk to Water 2009, Open Doors provided 4 new boreholes to villages in Northern Nigeria, at a cost of about $52 000 USD. The cost relates to needing to bore through subterranean rock, below the level of rivers carrying typhoid to access "clean" water. A pastor at one village said "We cannot thank enough the people that made this borehole possible.Only God can thank them on our behalf. They have delivered us from our misery."Around 15 000 Christians in these villages received the life-saving blessing of a safe, accessible water supply. Praise God!Last year Australia raised over $60 000 for Ethiopian Christians through Walk to Water. This year Open Doors plans to return to dig new boreholes for other villages In northern Nigeria. WE CAN HELP MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!For a full report on the work of Open Doors in this project please email sallyredfish@optusnet.com.
