Reflecting on God's Promises to live by.

  • Jesus says, "If anyone wants to be my disciple let them deny themselves, take up their cross and follow me". Mt 16:24
  •  We say, "Oh,my God, my soul is in despair within me; therefore I remember you". Psalm 42:6
  •  James says, "if any of you are suffering they should pray". Jas 5:13
  • God says, "I give water, even in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people". Isa 43:20
  • Jesus says, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me". Jn 7:37
  • 'God says, "let there be light" and there was light'. Gen 1:3
  • James says, "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights". Jas 1:7
  • Job laments, "I had heard about you with my ears, but now I have seen you for myself; therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes". Job 42:5,6
  • The tax collector cries, "God, be merciful to me, a sinner". Lk 18:13
  • The Psalmist observes, "He knows how we are made; he remembers that we are dust". Psl 103:14
  • Paul celebrates, "We will not all die, but we will all be changed". 1 Cor 15:51

 Help me to understand the mystery of your purposes Lord, and the grandeur of your plans. In the smallness of my understanding give me faith to know and trust you more deeply. Don't let me slip from the palm of your hand. In Jesus' name.   Amen
