Recipes for Growing in Faith - Who are we, really?

It's easy to get caught up in what other people think about us, but what does God think about us? (This recipe is more suitable for families with kids about 7 or 8 and above).Ingredients:

  • The list of statements about who we are in God (see below)
  • Your family / household / friendship group

Method:

  1. Pray and thank God that you can be together
  2. Read through the list of statements silently, and then take turns to read aloud if you would like to.
  3. Each person chooses one statement that really encourages them / speaks to them at the moment. Tell the group.
  4. After hearing everyone's choice, invite each person to say why they chose it, what does it mean to them.
  5. Pray for each other and thank God for speaking to us through his word.
  6. Why not stick the list on your fridge (or somewhere visible) so you can read it often.
