Recipes for Growing in Faith - Breakfast on the Beach

breakfast with JesusA simple recipe to follow on from Easter.Grab your family / friends, a bible and a simple packed breakfast and head to the beach (or somewhere near water).As you sit, have someone read John 21:1-17 from the Bible.Have a chat about this - perhaps using these questions to help you:

  1. What do you think Jesus meant when he asked Peter if he loved him? Why did he do it three times?
  2. Maybe have a couple of people act out the conversation between Peter and Jesus. How would the "you know that I love you" sound by the 3rd time?
  3. What job did Jesus give Peter?  What does "feed my sheep" mean do you think?
  4. How do you think Peter felt after this conversation?   What do you think it meant for him to be forgiven and given a special job?

After your discussion, finish with a prayer - thanking God that He always forgives us and gives us a new start when we turn back to Him. Ask God to show you what special job he has for you to do.
